Clearpass Network Authentication System Update

Maintenance Window: Wednesday, April 26th 6:00-7:00 AM
Services Impacted: Campus Wireless & VPN

During this maintenance period, the Clearpass network authentication system will undergo a software upgrade; this system serves both Wireless and VPN network access. This is an advisory notice only; no downtime is anticipated during this process.


Bay File Recovery

Technicians have identified a problem that results in Bay rebooting unexpectedly during the file restore process. To stabilize the server they are working with the software vendor and will not perform this type of restore until the root cause is identified. You can access your files on Bay and save them as you have in the past.

If you discover that files are missing,  please submit a request at https://support.csuchico.edu/TDClient/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=8065 for file recovery. An alternative file restoral process is being used to recover missing files.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work with the software vendor to resolve this issue.

Shibboleth Authentication Emergency Restart

Unannounced changes to the Zoom service require an emergency reconfiguration and restart of our Shibboleth Identity Provider. This will occur at 12:15 PM today.

Authentication and authorization services to federated applications will be unavailable for 5-10 minutes. Users will lose any active single sign-on sessions. Shibboleth federated systems effected by this outage include TeamDynamix, CFS, Lynda.com, and CSYou.calstate.edu.


Confluence Upgrade (campus wiki)

Maintenance Window: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday, April 18th
Services Impacted: Campus Wiki

The Campus Wiki (wiki.csuchico.edu) will undergo a major upgrade on Tuesday, April 18th. The upgrade process will take the entire business day and the wiki service will be unavailable for the duration of the upgrade. This upgrade is necessary to keep the wiki application secure and supported.


Bay File Sharing Outages

Maintenance Window: 7:00-8:00 AM Monday-Friday
Services Impacted: Bay File Server

Beginning Monday, April 10th Bay file server access will be intermittent 7:00-8:00 AM Monday-Friday to facilitate the migration to Box. This maintenance will be ongoing until all data has been migrated from Bay to Box. More information about Box is available at www.csuchico.edu/box.
