Services Impacted: Multiple campus systems, including Portal and Campus Web
To address an issue with campus access to Microsoft Azure services, the campus firewall will be updated Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM. This will cause a five minute interruption to multiple campus systems including the campus web site and Portal.
Campus accounts have been targeted with a few phishing email and job scams this week. See the examples below.
Chico State will decommission Skype for Business on December 31st, 2020 in favor of Teams. If you haven’t already, you can begin your transition to Teams by visiting Software Center and downloading Teams at any time. Because Teams has more features than Skype for Business, we recommend that you view some of the tutorials that Microsoft has made available: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-teams-video-training-4f108e54-240b-4351-8084-b1089f0d21d7 .
If you are currently using Skype for Business for telephone service, Computing and Communications Services will be reaching out to you shortly to migrate your telephone service to another platform.
The campus standalone Adobe Acrobat Pro license has expired for many campus computers. If you are experiencing issues with Acrobat Pro you likely need to install the Creative Cloud version of Acrobat Pro, or Acrobat Reader if you don’t require the Pro version features. These are available in Software Center (PC) and Self Service (Mac).
You may also need a Creative Cloud License, which can be requested in the Service Catalog.
