LastPass may have notified you regarding a recent security incident involving unauthorized access to their environment. Please note that campus-managed LastPass accounts are not at risk. However, be very cautious of any phishing email message that asks you to provide information claiming they are from LastPass, especially if you are asked to provide your LastPass master password. LastPass personnel will never ask you to provide your LastPass master password and you should always carefully verify any webpage that asks for that information before providing it. This maintenance is being performed by LastPass to ensure and maintain system performance and stability. All maintenance will be performed within the 2 hour maintenance window. LastPass will experience a 120 minute period of service disruptions.

LastPass will be conducting service maintenance on the following date and time listed below. They will be taking all appropriate actions to minimize service interruptions during this event.
Date and Time: April 8th, 2021, 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

In addition to LastPass Enterprise for employee’s work passwords, the CSU, Chico LastPass license includes LastPass Premium for employee’s personal accounts. You can claim your free personal Premium LastPass Account, then link your Enterprise and Premium accounts, creating one vault that can be easily separated later if needed.

LastPass provides a secure vault where you can save all your login information. We’re excited to offer all current students the benefit of increased online security with a complimentary subscription of LastPass Premium, a simple, secure password manager.

Prior to registering for the free account, be sure to install the LastPass web browser extensions.
You will not be able to use your @mail.csuchico.edu email for the free premium account. If you already have a personal LastPass account using @mail.csuchico.edu email, you will need to change the email to a personal email before claiming the free premium account. The Premium subscription is valid while you are a current student. After that, you can pay for a premium account or the account can revert to a free account.
