Beginning now, all faculty, staff, and student account passwords will have an expiration date, and periodically require a reset. This is part of the transition to Account Center, and helps ensure that campus accounts remain secure. If you haven’t recently changed your password you will receive an email notifying you of password expiration. You will receive subsequent reminders until you change your password.
The expiration notices will look like the below image. Read the “Note” for tips on how to determine if an email is from a legitimate sender.
To avoid having your password expire you can go to the CSU, Chico Portal now to confirm your account recovery information and set a new password.
